Hello, I am carca17. I enjoy playing pretty much every sport in the world! My top two favorites are basketball and soccer. I used to play basketball on a team but now I only play soccer on a team.

I also love animals. My two favorite animals are monkeys and manatees. I love monkeys because they are crazy and funny. I absolutely love manatees because when I grow up I want to be a marine biologist. I would like to study ocean animals and be on the rescue team.

I have one brother in my family. I have four boy cousins who act exactly like my brother, one is eight years old, one is eleven years old, the others are thirteen and fifteen. The oldest one, Kobe was adopted, it doesn’t seem like he was adopted though.

Now that you about me, please share what you would like to be when you grow up!

From November 1st to the 30th I have been writing a novel. My word account goal was 9,000 words and I wrote 9,049 words. I wrote that much and am still not finished. My Alpha class and I have been writing all month long. On one day we had a whole day of Alpha and wrote almost the whole time. This challenge we took was called NaNoWriMo. It stands for National Novel Writing Month. We had to reach our goal by the end of the month but didn’t have to be finished with it that day. From now until June 30th. Some of us have alot of words to edit and a big story to read. My story is about a girl named Ashlyn who is searching for what she’s going to do by going on these crazy adventures. Wish me luck on revising and editing my novel.

So… ever wonder what it was like for me to face the 50,000 word count goal? Well, let’s just say, I really didn’t think I could do it…. but something happened that changed all that.

Exerpt:

That night Mac woke up to some screeching in the barn. He didn’t take a minute to think the only thing he thought about was Toothless.  Mac slipped on his snippier uniform,  he grabbed his bear claw knife,  survival knife and his Walters skinning knife.  Then Mac grabbed a spool of thread, blankets and his air soft.  He flew out the door and dashes out to the barn.  Mac thought inside his brain,  if somebody out there I’ll skin them alive.  Like a secret agent Mac pressed his back to the wall and slowly moved towards the barn door like a stealthy owl moves through the night sky hunting for mice.  His left hand clutched the barrel of the gun like the grip of a iron vice.  He shot around the corner of the barn just in time to see a dark shadow jump out of the stall where Toothless was and run. Mac put the sight of his gun to his eye.  He thought about the time he played one shot one kill on Call of duty.  Don’t miss.  Don’t miss.  Don’t miss his brain said.  PINK went the gun.  The shadow fell to the ground.  Mac ran over and  tied his hands and feet with a rope in a tight knot.  Mac pulled back the butt of his gun and banged it on the strangers forehead hard.  The stranger instantly passed out.  Don’t mess with Toothless Mac said with his teeth clenched.  Mac knelt back down by toothless.  Toothless had a few small cuts and one large one.  Mac did not see the small ball of black in the corner.  He opened the back of his knife and took out a small plastic bag.  He ripped the small plastic bag open and out dropped a needle into his lap.  He used the thread and needle back together.  Only then did he hear a pop crackle pop. He looked in the corner and saw the black egg…

I just got done righting a novel.My story’s about a girl that is in middle school with her best friend but the bully Roxane does every thing in her power to stop her from succeeding in any way. Her goal is to stop the bully & step up to her but it’s hard with all the people Roxane has on her side to team up on Skyleir (main character) and Brittany (supportive character with same goal) !!! This is a part of a novel

A girl descovers she has magic powers and has to save a wizard.

Does she do it sucsessfully or does she to get trapped?

First of all, I do all different activitys.  I do Gymnastics.  I can do flips, splits and walk on the balance beam.  I also do Cheering.  I practic both at home and when I am not practicing I like to draw and color.  I draw and color pictures of cute small fuzzy animals.  I make up dance routines to music, too.  That is what I like to do in my free time.

I have 5 people in my family and 3 pets.  My mom, dad, my sister Jen that is 7, and my sister Danielle (Dani).  Then me, I am 9 all most 10. My pets are my two cats Abby and Andrew . I also have a hamster named Scooter.   In the Summer I like to swim in the swimming pool with my family.  In the Fall I like to ride bikes with my family.  In the Winter I like to curl up on the couch and watch movies with my family( since there is no snow.)  In the Spring I like to go to the park with my family.  It is fun to do activitys with my family.

I have a busy, but fun life !!

Hi, greetings from Mckeel!

In school, we are learning about Great Britain and the colonists. We are doing a debate later this week, and Eepka’s debate is the Quartering Act from the colonist side. Bluesky’s debate is the Intolerable Acts from the British side. Shadow’s debate is The Boston Massacre from the Colonist side.

We were wondering if you learn about the same things in your school. For example, here in Florida, this is what they taught us about The Boston Massacre.

One soldier accidentally fired when the mob was surrounding the soldiers. Then, most of the others followed, and it ended in the death of 5 people and the injury of 6 people. Two of the soldiers were convicted for manslaughter, and branded on their thumbs. The other six, including Captain Thomas Preston went to jail, and were later acquitted(released for being not guilty.)

So if you have learned about The Boston Massacre, is this similar to what you learned? Is it different? We’d like to hear how you learned about this event, and any other major history, too.

What is your favorite animal? My favorite animal is a horse. They are so elegant and graceful. There are so many different kinds that I don’t know them all. My favorite type of horse is a Mustang because they are wild and free. They are not domesticated or nothing. Here are some pictures of wild horses.

They are still wild but they are either in the process of being domesticated or are already domesticated. So what is your favorite animal?

This is an excerpt from my novel.

When we got to the gate, The guards demanded,”who goes there?”with loud,booming voices.I replied by knocking them over with a stun spell. “they’ll be out for a while” said my dad. We walked toward a drawbridge covering a pit full of lava and poisonous snakes. They were enchanted so they could survive. Without any warning, the doors opened. They were so tall and beautiful. I could see gunmen up in the towers.Dad shot a plume of blue smoke at them and they instantly fell asleep. We entered the castle.There was a large, dark hallway that we had to walk down. Bones littered the floor,and there were stuffed deer heads hanging from the walls. At the end stood a pair of doors. Little did we know that those led to kronoses chambers. Tokoga knew, so he led us down a different hallway. He said,”This is a secret passageway that leads to krososes chambers. Take this way.” I got my wand ready. But he said,” we won’t fight him today,we will fight him on our next visit.” I replied,”we’re going to visit again?” “yes.we need to get to know this land well. He could attack us anywhere.” I agreed with my dragon. Over the past few weeks he had grown to be big enough to ride. He would be a big advantage. We traveled down a passageway that led to a balcony overlooking kronos’es chambers. “Jukio flahis ore bvores awghins meap verrt cuckoo” said kronos to his dementor . He spoke in a weird language that no one but me could understand. He said,translated by me,Owen “ make it rain.”

This is an excerpt of my novel, Sweden. It is about a kid that gets invited to the Gothia Cup in Sweden.

Excerpt:

I have two little brothers. One will turn two on December 15. The other little brother will turn 5 next year. He is 4 right now.  I have 14 cousins. My mom has two bothers and two sisters. She is the youngest of 5. My dad is the only boy out of 4. He has 3 sisters. I have two dogs and one cat. I used to have a fish. But my dog Gracie stuck her paw in the water a lot so the fish died. I was about 4 years old.My mom is a very good cook. She cooks the best cake.My favorite color is pink my second favorite color is purple.I am 9 years old. My cat is all mine. I begged my parents to have a cat for 2 years.My cat is black ,brown and gray with a little bit of white. I wish I had a fish or a bird.

It was coming,I could feel it in my bones. I was in the restricted section of the library,trying to find a book on potions,because I was not doing well in potions class. Then I heard It. Boom,boom,BOOM,BOOM!! It was coming. Then,It rounded the corner.I saw It’s gruesome, ugly, green face. Expellarmius! I bellowed. It’s Club Flew up in the air. Then, I knocked it over,just in time to see professor Snape. I whisked my invisibility cloak on and ran back to my dormitory.

Hi, Welcome to our Alpha blog! We are really excited that you guys will be reading our blogs! All of us are 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade. We live in Florida and we go to Mckeel Elementary Academy.  I want to tell you is about all the events and fundraisers we have already done. We have done Pasta For Pennies, a fundraiser where we raise money for kids with Leukemia and Lymphoma. We have also written novels for NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) some kids had up to 18,000 words and are still not finished writing their story! Now we have something else to add to our list, Quad Blogging!  I also want to tell you about our alpha teacher, Ms.Blair! She is AMAZING!! She is always coming up with new ideas and awesome activites. We are never just sitting around. In fact, when we are in alpha we never ever sit down! Anyways, Thanks for reading! BYE!!!
