The Scooper Helper

The Scooper Helper

Here’s a little info about my invention, The Scooper Helper.

It will help people with dogs to not have to clean up after their dogs with their hands.

It is a remote control car, with  a scooper on the front and a bin to hold the remote on the back.

When you are done, you can pick the scooper up,and dump the poo into a trash can. It is also portable.

The Jogging Buddy

The Jogging Buddy

The  Jogging  Buddy  is a  stroller attachment that allows the mom or dad to swing their arms.

It ataches  to the stroller by heavy duty velcro. There is two ars that atach to a belt. When the mom or dad puts on the belt they attach the arms with the velcro to the stroller. Then the parent is free to swing their arms and get the full benifit of the work out or like my (SUPER CRAZY) cousin said drink coffee!

Invention Convention –

Invention Convention –
  1.     One day I was going to get my gloves but the partner for the gloves was gone so I will prevent this
  2.     The closest thing that is closest to my invention is gloves.
  3.   It will improve the gloves by keeping them and not losing it.
  4. It is fashionable glove with a magnet strip in it which connects the gloves together. It will also help with all ages trying the find your gloves on a cold winter day it will also connect to your fridge for easy access. It will prevent you from frost bites and will not take a long time finding it. It also is a advantage for disability  people so they can grab it from the fridge or any magnet attraction.
These are the questions i answered for the invention convention .

Magne-Cup

Magne-Cup

Hi, I am ber143 and my invention is the Magne-Cup. Here is a picture.

This cup helps people who can’t find the right cup by it sticking to any magnetic appliance or magnetic object. By sticking to these objects it is much easier for any human to find their cups no matter where they are.

Carcar17 invention

Carcar17 invention

Every  year we do a project called Invention Express, everyone has to think of a original invention that could solve a problem in the world. One day I was eating breakfast and my drink spilled a tiny bit on the floor. Then my mom grabbed a Clorox Wipe and put it underneath her foot so she doesn’t have to bend down. There was only one problem about what she was doing, the wipe was sliding and didn’t stay under her foot. Then I thought of the invention to make it to were the wipe wont slide. It will stick to the bottom of your shoe. My invention is called Footie Stick n’ Wipes.

Bullet Proof Alert Vest

Bullet Proof Alert Vest

Every year in schools, the Alpha kids create an invention for the Invention Convention. There are many different ideas for the inventions, though it is VERY difficult to think of an invention. Ideas that are exotic, ideas that are simple but very useful. Some of the ideas for the inventions are so amazing that they win the convention and go on to change the world with one simple idea that all started with a simple contest.

My invention is a Bullet Proof Alert Vest. It is for policemen, and could save their lives. The Kevlar inside the vest stops the bullet before it can make too much impact and injure the officer. If a bullet happens to make its way anywhere near the officer, a built in walkie- talkie will instantly pick up the sound of a bullet, recognize it, and send it to headquarters in a matter of seconds. The sound will be played back to nearby police and the reinforcments will already be coming to save the officer.

Hope I win!

My Invention

My Invention

Around this time of year the kids in our Alpha program are supposed to come up with an invention. My invention is a regular jacket with mittens sewed into the end of the sleeves. It has a loop in the back for your scarf which is optional. You can also fold in the mittens into the sleeves if you don’t want them on. Same thing on the scarf, if you don’t want the scarf on you can take it out of the loop. I wanted to make something that helped me and some other people. My invention is called the All-In-One-Hoodie.

Wish me luck,

My Invention: The Chain-Pick!

My Invention: The Chain-Pick!

Hello, Readers!

The alpha team has been working on an invention project for a couple weeks where we all answer some questions about an invention we make to prevent a problem.  I was part of this, and I want to share with you the invention that I created.

Here are some questions about my invention that I answered.

  1. My brother is a guitar player, and I realized there were many people that were also guitar players, and some probably have the same problem: They lose their picks.  I know if I was a guitarist that I would be utterly annoyed if I lost my strumming instrument to use.  Thinking of this major problem, I began to plan how to prevent it.
  2. When I searched online, the nearest products I saw were really just plain, simple picks and key chains (car keys for specifics).
  3. I combine both of these basic products to make a car key chain with a hole-punched pick attached, known as the Chain-Pick.  Whenever someone (preferably who has an automobile) is going to some concert or just playing in a high-school band, they just pull the pick off their car keys and use it.  When the band/concert is done and they are leaving, they just stick the pick back onto their car keys.  It’s a simple, but useful way to keep your picks in place!
  4. At the top of the pick, there will be a small hole punched in.  Then, you just stick that and any more additional picks onto your car keys, and there they will be safe.  Any time you need a guitar and a pick for a concert or band, you just grab your guitar.  When you get there and take out your car keys, you just pull off your preferred pick and head on in to your event.  You’ll have everything you need, and you won’t lose your picks by, example, putting them in your cup holder.  If you slam on the brakes on the way?  Say hello to The Chain-Pick!

My invention is called The Chain-Pick, and it prevents guitarists from losing their picks by having it attached to their automobile keys, with a hole in the picks that allows it to pull on and off.

I hope you like my invention, and also, here’s a sketch of my drawing that I submitted for the contest:

Our Problems Wordle

Our Problems Wordle

Hi all. Ms. Blair here with our two new Alpha kids – football1 and baseball17 – and we have been looking at the list of problems that all of the Alpha kids made together.  We took the whole list and put it into a Wordle at wordle.net.

Here is what we made! The words that are the biggest were said by the most kids. The words that are smallest were mentioned the least. (Or as baseball 17 likes to say, “The biggest are the baddest and smallest are the safest!”

Can you come up with any inventions, ideas, or actions that we can do to solve these problems???

Exploration: All that is BAD in the world

Exploration: All that is BAD in the world

Being Alpha doesn’t automatically make you successful. Even with all of that potential, you still have to be willing to work hard and choose to make a positive impact in the world.

For the invention project, we get the chance to solve a real problem and make a difference.

But how can we solve problems if we don’t know what they are?

So, go out, ask, observe, contemplate… and make a list of all of the problems you can think of. Then, add them to the list at the link below.
